A Solicitor Advocate based in Hamilton, he appears regularly in the Sheriff Courts and High Court and specialises in criminal matters. He has an avid interest in comparative European Jurisprudence and has visited the major legal centres of most European countries.

As a solicitor he is a strong advocate of our accusatorial system of justice. However, as a citizen he feels that there is a great deal to be learned from the European system of inquisitorial justice.
